Eyelash Extension Product FAQ

Why must I use distilled water when diluting Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate?

Distilled water is required when diluting our cleanser concentrate because it has removed contaminants and minerals. Using distilled water ensures you are not introducing bacteria, chemicals or minerals into your lash shampoo.

Using regular tap water introduces unwanted and potentially unsafe pathogens into your lash shampoo.

Prolong Lash Cleanser is FDA-certified, meeting those rigorous standards. It is also ophthalmologically tested, making it safe for sensitive eyes and those who wear contact lenses.

How can I know the expiry date of my own cleanser?

The expiry date of the cleanser can be found on the bottle itself. However, the expiry is generally between 18-24 months.

The expiry date printed on the concentrate bottle applies to the diluted concentrate provided that distilled water has been used.

Can I dilute the concentrate to make my own foaming cleanser?

Yes, you can. You are required to follow our recommended dilution guidelines. If you choose not to follow the dilution instructions, it is considered that you have adulterated our product and you could be held legally accountable. We strongly recommend that you obtain the required insurance to guard against any liability.

Can I sell diluted Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate?

MoCRA requires that some purchasers who dilute Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate to provide to customers may need to complete FDA certification as a “processor.” We encourage you to review the Act and use the tools provided by the FDA to determine whether you may be required to comply, by applying for certification. If you do need to comply and certify your business, FDA certification process is straightforward and affordable. Find out more HERE.

How many washes can I get out of the 100ml Foaming Pump Cleanser?

We recommend 2 pumps per wash which gives you approximately 75 washes.

What’s the difference between the foaming pump and the concentrate?

Our Cleanser concentrate needs to be diluted with water before use in order to achieve optimal foaming to be used for cleansing. Our foaming cleanser has already been diluted by the manufacturer and is ready to use directly from the foaming pump.

How to dilute the Cleanser Concentrate?

The manufacturer recommends that Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate is diluted at a ratio of ⅓ concentrate to ⅔ distilled water, mixed in a sterilized empty foaming pump bottle. Exact measurements will differ depending on the size of your empty foaming pump.

How much Cleanser Concentrate and distilled water do I need for my empty pump bottle?

The quantities of cleanser concentrate and distilled water will depend on the size of your empty bottle.

How many cleansers can I create with the 1 liter/100 ml?

Depending upon your empty bottle volume, you can make up to 15 cleansers. Click here to view our handy dilution table to find the exact amount for your cleansing bottle.

Prolong Lash eyelash extension aftercare products are FDA-certified, vegan-friendly & ophthalmologically tested.

Is Prolong Lash Cleanser a Lash Shampoo?

What’s in a name? The difference between a lash cleanser and a lash shampoo is simply the wording.

Yes, you can consider Prolong Lash Cleanser a lash shampoo. The purpose of Prolong Lash Cleanser is to safely and effectively clean eyelash extensions. It has been specially formulated for this purpose, just like shampoo is.

This formula is also FDA-certified, and has passed rigorous testing to prove its efficacy and safety. Don’t let word semantics get you down.

What is the shelf life of the diluted concentrate?

The expiry date printed on the concentrate bottle applies to the diluted concentration provided that distilled water had been used.

I noticed that the color of the concentrate cleanser has a yellow tint through it, even after diluting it.

Although discoloration of the concentrate is rare, it can happen from time to time due to the nature of the natural components in the Rose Water ingredient. The product is still completely safe to use, and it does not affect the performance of the product in any way.

What is Prolong Lash Oil Free Hydrating Eye Serum used for?

It is a Hyaluronic based serum formulated to deliver intense hydration to the eye area and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The best part is that it is 100% oil free and safe to use when you are wearing eyelash extensions.

Everyday eye creams and serums contain oils that destroy the glue which bonds extensions to the natural lash causing the extensions to fall out prematurely.

This is formulated especially to care for the skin around the eyes whilst protecting eyelash extensions.
