Dilution

20mlProlong Lash Cleanser Concentrate
+
40mlDistilled water
=
60mlReady-to-use cleanser
  1. Using the measuring jug, measure exactly 20ml of Prolong Lash Cleanser Concentrate. Add to the pump bottle.
  2. Using the measuring jug, measure exactly 40ml of distilled water. Adjust as necessary before adding to the pump bottle.
  3. Secure the lid tightly.
  4. Shake the bottle well to mix the contents.
  5. Repeat to fill additional pump bottles as required.
  6. Clean all equipment after use. Replace the cap on the Concentrate bottle and store appropriately.
Why the ratio matters Our 1:2 ratio (1 part Concentrate to 2 parts distilled water) is the formula we've tested. Using more or less of either, or adding anything else, means you'd no longer have the tested formula. Measure carefully and you'll get the same reliable result every time.

Labelling

  1. Affix our Ingredient Label to the bottle.
  2. Add the expiry date from your Concentrate bottle.
  3. Add your own label.
Tips for your own label A clear, professional label helps your clients feel confident about what they're using. Many lash artists include:
  • Product name, e.g. "Lash Cleanser"
  • Bottle size
  • Simple directions
  • A short warning, e.g. "External use only. Discontinue use if irritation occurs."
  • Your business name and contact details

These are guidelines only. Labelling requirements vary depending on where you're based and how you sell, so check with your local regulator or business adviser before retailing.

5

Record keeping

For each batch prepared, record the date of preparation and the batch code of the Cleanser Concentrate used. Maintain these records for traceability purposes.

6

Storage

  • Store the Concentrate and pump bottle packaging in dry, clean conditions at all times. Keep the Concentrate in its original bottle.
  • When selecting Concentrate for preparation, follow the first-in, first-out rule. Use older stock before newer stock.
  • When supplying prepared cleansers to customers, also apply the first-in, first-out rule. Best practice is to prepare cleanser as needed rather than holding diluted stock.
7

Product release check

Before supplying diluted product to any customer, confirm all of the following:

  • No contamination occurred during filling.
  • The correct quantities of Concentrate and water were filled into the pump bottle.
  • The ingredient label has been affixed to the bottle.
  • The Concentrate expiry date has been added to the label.
  • Records have been kept for traceability.
