Flutterstop FAQ
Flutterstop is an advanced eyelid stabilization system designed to support precision in professional lash application. It features a discreet weighted metal disc that sits on the inner surface of the Gel Pad and is removed for cleaning. The disc helps minimize involuntary eyelid movement during detailed lash work.
Engineered with intention and purpose-led design, Flutterstop enhances application stability, supports procedural control, and contributes to a calmer, more consistent service environment, elevating professional standards in modern lash practice.
For Lash Artists:
Flutterstop makes gentle, controlled contact with the closed eyelid during application. The weighted metal disc, which sits on the inner surface of the Gel Pad, helps minimize involuntary eyelid fluttering and micro-eye opening, promoting greater precision in isolation, improved placement consistency, and enhanced procedural flow.
For The Wearer:
Flutterstop is designed to feel secure and comfortable on the eyelid. By helping to minimize small, involuntary eyelid movements, it promotes a calmer, more restful experience, allowing your eyes to remain softly and comfortably closed during your lash appointment.
Yes. Flutterstop is designed for multiple uses when cleaned according to the recommended cleaning protocol. For optimal performance and hygiene, replacement is recommended after approximately 25 uses per set, depending on handling and care.
After each use, remove the weighted metal disc from the Flutterstop Gel Pads.
Apply Flutterstop Wash to both the Gel Pads and metal disc and gently clean away any visible debris.
Allow the Gel Pads and metal disc to remain in contact with Flutterstop Wash for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water until no wash residue remains.
Allow both components to air dry completely, with the sticky side of the Gel Pads facing upward.
Once dry, spray the Gel Pads and metal disc with 0.02% hypochlorous acid spray and allow them to dry completely.
Once fully dry, replace the metal disc and return the Gel Pads to their case for storage.

Important: DO NOT SOAK FLUTTERSTOP IN BARBICIDE OR ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, expose it to high heat, or use ultrasonic cleaning systems. Always follow applicable local hygiene requirements and salon protocols.
CAUTION: DO NOT SOAK IN BARBICIDE.
No. Flutterstop is not supplied sterile and is not a sterile medical device. It is a professional lash application support tool intended for use on closed eyelids.
No. Flutterstop is not adhesive backed. The medical grade silicone surface has a natural tack that allows it to remain positioned during application without glue, tape, or residue.
Yes. Flutterstop is individually packaged, making it suitable for professional retail within salon environments.
Many salons choose to retail Flutterstop to clients who prefer a dedicated, personal-use device for their own appointments. Retailing supports:
• Personalised hygiene management
• Enhanced client confidence and comfort
• Added privacy and relaxation during treatments
• A premium, individualised service upgrade
Retailing Flutterstop also provides a professional revenue opportunity for salons while reinforcing high standards of care and a commitment to elevating professional service standards.
No. Flutterstop is designed to enhance application conditions by helping reduce preventable eyelid movement during treatment. It supports professional technique and precision, but it does not replace skill, training, or proper lash application standards.
Yes. Prolong Lash Cleanser can be used to clean Flutterstop Gel Pads, helping to remove oils, makeup and debris between uses.
Prolong Lash Cleanser has passed microbiological preservative challenge testing, demonstrating that introduced microorganisms are controlled under the specified test conditions.
When cleaning Flutterstop, apply the cleanser to the Gel Pads and metal disc, clean away visible debris and allow the cleanser to remain in contact for 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water until no cleanser residue remains, then allow both components to air dry completely before completing the recommended 0.02% hypochlorous acid spray step.
Yes. 0.02% hypochlorous acid mist is recommended as the final step in the Flutterstop cleaning process.
After cleaning the Gel Pads and metal disc with Flutterstop Wash, rinsing thoroughly and allowing them to air dry completely, spray both components with 0.02% hypochlorous acid mist and allow them to dry fully.
Once completely dry, replace the metal disc and return the Gel Pads to their case for storage.
Hypochlorous acid mist should be used as the final step and does not replace cleaning with Flutterstop Wash to remove oils, makeup and visible debris.
The weighted disc is designed to introduce a subtle, stabilizing presence on the closed eyelid. The additional gentle contact and cooling sensation of the metal surface can contribute to a feeling of calm and stillness for many clients.
The weight itself is minimal and does not force the eyelid to remain closed. Rather, it supports natural relaxation and helps reduce small, involuntary eyelid movements during treatment.
Yes. The weighted metal disc is removed before cleaning and replaced once the Gel Pad is completely dry. Check the disc is sitting securely on the inner surface of the pad before each use.
If the pad shows tearing, stretching, or structural damage, or the disc no longer sits securely in place, discontinue use and replace the set.
Use Flutterstop Wash or Prolong Lash Cleanser to clean the Gel Pads and weighted metal disc, followed by a 0.02% hypochlorous acid spray to complete the sanitization process.
To maintain safety, durability, and consistent performance, only cleaning products that have been tested to Flutterstop's material compatibility standards and formally approved for use should be applied.
Due to the wide range of chemical formulations available globally, compatibility cannot be confirmed outside the recommended cleaning protocol.
Surface washing only. Remove the weighted metal disc, clean both components with Flutterstop Wash or Prolong Lash Cleanser, rinse, air dry completely, then finish with a 0.02% hypochlorous acid spray before replacing the disc. See "How should Flutterstop be cleaned?" above for the full step-by-step.
DO NOT SOAK FLUTTERSTOP IN BARBICIDE OR ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL.
Do not use ultrasonic cleaners.
Do not use high heat sterilization.
When used and cleaned according to the recommended protocol, each set is designed to withstand 25 or more professional applications.
Based on the manufacturer’s guidance for the medical-grade material used, 25 uses per set is recommended.
For the average lash client, one case contains two sets, providing approximately 50 or more total uses. For clients attending regular fills, this can comfortably last well over a year, depending on handling, cleaning, and storage practices.
With normal use, the surface may gradually appear less glossy over time. This is expected wear.
If the pad is pulled, stretched, or handled aggressively beyond its intended use, small areas of silicone may lift or detach.
If the pad no longer maintains consistent placement or adhesion during application, this indicates it is time to replace the set.
Durability validation has been performed in accordance with manufacturer material specifications and repeated cleaning cycle assessment. Formal third-party lifecycle certification reports have not been conducted.
Yes. Lifecycle expectations are based on the manufacturer’s material performance
guidance for the medical-grade silicone used.
Yes. The product has undergone repeated cleaning cycle assessment under the recommended cleaning protocol.
The recommended maximum usage per set is approximately 25 applications, based on the manufacturer’s guidance for this medical-grade silicone material, which is also used in other cosmetic skin-contact applications.
Tack reduces gradually over time with repeated use and cleaning. This allows for visible performance cues before replacement is required.
Yes. Flutterstop is latex-free.
Yes. The silicone material used in Flutterstop is BPA-free.
Yes. Flutterstop is manufactured using medical-grade silicone designed for repeated skin contact applications.

Flutterstop may be used in a variety of professional service environments where gentle eyelid closure, added relaxation, or client privacy is desired.
This includes:
• Skincare treatments that do not require specialised eye protection
• Facial services, massage therapy, meditation sessions, or any treatment where maintaining calm, closed eyelids supports the service provider’s workflow and enhances client comfort.
Flutterstop is not intended to replace protective eyewear required for laser, intense light, or other regulated procedures.
